Hex Ply lining kit

Thanks for the photos, that looks really good! I think I'll get the sound deadening and insulation sorted out first, then pull the trigger on a set of these panels. I'm drawn to it as it looks nice (IMO), but it's also practical too.

What clips did you use to fasten the ply to the van? I'm assuming they utilise the facory holes?

That’s exactly why I went for them. I really like plywood and have furniture at home and in the back of the van with a coloured hardwearing final finish which has proven very hardwearing.

Factor in that I have a Fox Red Labrador, whose fur still CK’s to carpet very easily, and you can see why this stuff fits my needs perfectly.

They use the factory holes and I used the clips that the vendor supplied. 100 longer clips in black plastic for £20. I do have one whole that doesn’t line up with the corresponding hole in the van. It looks like it might be drilled slightly out, but I am not certain of that as it was the final clip to do. There’s a chance that a bit of adjustment might be potentially possible if I took all of the other clips out, but I don’t want to risk the integrity of the clips for the sake of the corner hole of one of the rear panels. It’s out of view so I will live with it I think. It’s not spoiled my opinion that’s for sure.

I now just need to consider what I do with the roof/ceiling panels. Any cool suggestions @CooseVW? What are you thinking of doing?

Hi, do you have a photo of the mis aligned hole so I can check the drawing? Not heard of this previously, but so easy to move a hole by accident on the drawing? How far out of line is it? Thanks

I will check it out when I get a chance, as I have not removed all of the other clips to see if I can realign it. I can’t get a clip through, so it appears to be out at least the width of a clip.

Easiest thing is to measure the distance to that hole to a number of other holes. If they match, then it might just be alignment, otherwise it’s in the wrong place.

Will let you know once I have checked it.

Hi you say it comes with packers, I’m assuming this is the bit that goes in the gaps and I just bind it to the floor, also then dodo mat in between?

It is. We bond our floors down so yours will have to either glue to ridges (without packers) or float with Packers on insulation
