Hello, I'm looking to fit some 17 inch Tomahawk Katos to my van.

Currently I'm considering cross climate 2s 235/60/17 as they'll mainly be for road use.

Any recommendations and pictures would be gratefully received, thanks.

Cheers.

I would recommend to anyone especially if only having one set of rims, Cross Climate Tyres, with 3PMS rating from a top rated manufacturers. Michelin CrossClimates have had excellent reviews over many year in veracious formats. CrossClimate 2 at the moment. Other manufacturers are always pushing very hard as cross climate tyres are the most competitive sector right now. Have a look at tyre reviews.

Yeah as Kind of Blue said I’m also a fan of All Season tyres… enough grip to get you out of muddy camping fields and through winter (you get some cold winters in Shropshire!) while giving up very little on fuel consumption or noise.

Michelin Cross Climates are quality tyres.
Personally I’m running Hankook Kinergy 4S2s which have had very good results in various tests over the last years while being a reasonable price.
Eg All-Season Tyre Test: verdict and results by category | Auto Express
As they noted “Hankook’s two-time winner remains a strong contender with a set of attributes that are well balanced for the UK climate, because it’s biased slightly towards wet and dry.
ie we don’t really need the out-and-out snow capability that much, as they do on the continent (even here in Scotland where I live!).

Michelin CrossClimate 3 should be available from 1st July this year. Supposed to be even better and a big step, 2 versions are available in some sizes CC3 and CC Sport

Sure thing, here you go...

What do the 55s look like?

Cheers,

Chris
Hi Chris,

Did you have any issues with adaptive cruise, wheel rub or anything else running the 235/60/17?

I’m considering this spec in the Agilis CC to go on Tomohawk Katos but was a bit concerned they are slightly larger than standard…

Other alternative is to go for the cross climate 2 XL in the 235/55/17 103 but not really sure how this compares to the Agilis?

Getting a bit lost with all the options!

The main difference between CrossClimate in XL (extra load) format - which relates to the 103 load rating and Agilis is that the latter is purely for vans. It has an even higher load rating likely due to more plys used in the construction and more sturdy sidewalls (helps for rubbing against kerbs as delivery wagons tend to).
A 103 load rating is probably OK for you and the CrossClimate in 103 will be more comfortable than the Agilis, but less rugged (most of us won’t need that extra ruggedness).
