Hello everyone.

I have purchased a T6.1 for my fishing adventures, so not converting to a camper. I have spent a week reading this forum and in the beginning was surprised at the lengths people go to modify their vans, but the idea has grown on me.

This is my van, I am happy with it but if there is one thing I would change it’s the chrome on the grill, but I think I have to change the grill to do that.

The radio is probably the my biggest bug bear as DAB really doesn’t work, and FM zones out too. I have a rear reversing camera that displays in the rear view mirror and reading recent threads this may be interfering, not sure if it was original or fitted by the previous owner, I will need to read more to find a solution.

Grill swap is pretty straightforward or you could always get the chrome wrapped if you just wanted a quick switch up.

Nice van, welcome aboard. The chrome clips off and can be replaced with a coloured trim instead. I have blue on my van, but a quick search online should find them. I believe they come in a raft of different colours, example below…

Welcome to the forum - Lovely van!

A quick remedy for the chrome grill would be to apply black (or red?) insulation tape along the chrome. It'll take the edge off the look until you source a replacement grill or clip on covers etc.

I thought on the original grill they didn’t clip off. I will take a look

Am I being stupid as a new owner, I have been looking at grill replacements, but they all state not compatible with a startline, which my van is.

Is there a startline grill upgrade available.

And if you do, someone's already swapped the front.

Startline is the black textured commercial front end.

The van according to the reg is a startline, but I guess it could have been modified previously.

Does that mean all of the silver trim can be replaced ?

Yes , I believe so, you can buy replacement colours.

I think I discovered it’s a ST-Line maybe that’s why it has the different front

For the complete van noob (me) what is the front grill and bumper etc I have it clearly is not the st line standard one. But what is it.
