Hello from Netherlands.

I traded my Audi Q3 (not RS version) for my T6.1, and it was a good move. I use the T6 as my daily driver and it is so much more versatile than the car.
I have done a modular bespoke camper build that can be removed in about 15 minutes.
The only things I miss on the van are the Haldex 4WD, and the better handling the car had, but most of the time when driving the van it just feels like driving a car ( apart from tight parking spaces being long wheel base)

Yeah that wil be the thing i wil miss i think😅 400ps, haldex, and the 5 cilinder sound.

But sometimes i need to make choices haha and a T6 wil be better and more practical.

..As you're in the business professionally, I understand you're putting it on stage 1 asap!

I'll take a well sorted chassis (not as easy as it might seem) over any amount of power any day but that's personal. Luckily, the stock Transporter chassis is atrocious for a camper so to the bar for improvement sits (very) low... 😂

Mine is a TDI 150 DSG. I picked the 150 as it's generally considered the most trouble free. Which is a relative term for TDI's in Transporters... It's still covered by factory warranty so I can't really touch it without risking that. Not sure if I would when it's out of warranty but I still have some time to go to figure that out. It's Euro6 so I'm good for a while regarding emission zones. And if you live in an emission zone (I do), campers with an 'SA' license (kenteken) are exempt from 'your' emission zone.

What I did do is get the DSG remapped by TVS - I'm sure you know them. The stock mapping seems primarily aimed at emission & fuel consumption resulting in a shifting pattern that makes the engine constantly lugging at too high gears/too low revs, effectively shifting the engine dead and very slow to respond. Even the dual-mass flywheel can't mask the vibrations from the lugging engine. The TVS remap solves all this. Very impressive.

Curious to hear if the deal for your van comes through! 🤞
