Firstly, thank you to all the members that have helped me by replying to my posts/ threads with their thoughts, views, experiences etc.
Today I was supposed to collect my van, but alas it'll be tomorrow, so I thought I'd post up a few photos of my van
It's a VW T6.1 Highline Kombi T30. Had a few bits done, gloss black bits in the front bumper, roof rails, genuine rear spoiler, black badges.
I'm hoping to buy a forty winks day bed from @Rymes, then plan to fit genuine stainless VW Side bars (I'll get them painted or powdercoated later on).
Buying and having Metatrak Deadlock Pro and 20" Staggered LV4's by @Dav-Tec
I'm wanting tyre sizes that keep speedo fairly accurate so I don't get any more speeding points lol.
The thread on 20" tyres is confusing as various owners fit different tyre sizes.
Shame there isn't a "sticky" on tyre sizes for 17's - 20's etc, with what fits etc on stock, uprated shocks, coilovers etc.
From what I've gleaned, CR performance recommend 245.45, Bognor & Van cave recommend 265.40 fronts and all recommend 275.40 rear on 20" wheels .
I'll be looking for a tyre with decent rim protector so I don't scuff up the wheels lol
Then I'll be looking on the forum to see if I could manage to fit sound deadening, insulation, and upholster roof, cabin, side panels myself lol, as it'll save money that I can use elsewhere. Then either buy a good used set of leather trimmed seats or have my existing seats retrimmed (not sure), get a tow bar fitted,
Then just drive, use and enjoy it. Depending how we use it, we'd then decide if we want a elevating roof, small storage/cooking area (pull out bit under day bed?) etc etc and maybe solar and lower it ha ha.
Or keep as mods above without roof, solar and cooker etc
Anyways here are some pics....it's got sub 1k miles and 1 yrs Warranty remaining...
