Headlight protectors

evening all, just got my new kombi and paid for the led headlight option££££!
Just wondering if I should buy the protectors as I don’t fancy the cost of replacing them if they get cracked ?

Thoughts?

Cracked headlight? Never actually come across and car with cracked headlights ever, unless accident and further front end damage.
What's going to protect the protectors?

Headlights now are made from plastic, and don't damage like they used to. My previous van did 90k with plastic headlights, and I never had an issue, even though I went through 3 screens, and around a million stone chips! Plus not sure how a cover would effect the LED headlight pattern.

I'd love it if if something damaged my awful H4s ... it would be the perfect excuse to replace with them lights that actually help you see!

Maybe, if you inadvertently started swinging a hammer around, it might slide from your fingers whilst eating a greasy bacon butty, and amazingly fly straight into the headlight?????
