Has anybody not had carpet lining with pop top roof?

Wondering if anybody has had anything different than the standard grey 4-way stretch carpet on the roof of the van where the pop-top roof is added.
Was thinking of potentially doing mine with a light wood instead but potentially more hassle than its worth?

Would love some pics if any of you haven't had the carpet lining

I've got this. I too was concerned about the amount of grey that I had (walls, floor, seats) and decided that it needed brightening up.

nice - i think mine will end up with the grey carpet. wonder how difficult it is to post fit something to that - assuming it's a nightmare to remove the carpet due to the adhesive used

I have roof lining fabric, very similar to the OEM roof lining in the cab.

Thank you mate....thats a Reimo Variotech...installed by Knights Custom Conversions in Spalding...they do a top job. (The ceiling wasn't done by them though)

I used to have a plain board but got fed up of all the dirty marks and fingers prints, so I decided to carpet mine. Just to mix things up I put the VW logo under the carpet, I think it takes the edge off and makes it look a bit different. I guess it all depends on the van, but I think wood, although looks nice, wouldn't have looked nice inside my van...
