Hardwiring dash cam to second battery?

plan on wiring a dash camera to the second battery under the passenger seat, has anyone done this?

Normally I take a feed off the fuse box via a jumper for a ignition live and a permanent live but not sure how I'd do it with the battery underneath the seat

I have done exactly this with mine, perm feed from under seat and ign feed from dash fusebox
I have a join on the perm feed cable to extend it to leisure batt, as long as your leisure battery has a common ground with vehicle battery (negative to chassis) it should work fine

Cool yeah I was thinking I might need some extra wire!

Pauly how did you wire it to the secondary battery? I've had a look at it and other than using a eye connector on the battery I'm not sure how I'd use my fuse bridge connector unless I'd wire it elsewhere

I have a 10way blade fusebox under the seat so it has its own fuse from there

Mine is done like this. Perm feed from leisure battery fuse box and ignition feed from the dashboard fuse box.

Where's the leisure battery fuse box? I couldn't find mine

Depends what sort of van you're driving. Mine is a self conversion. My leisure battery is under the driver seat and the fusebox is mounted directly behind the seat.
I've seen some with the leisure battery and distribution at the rear of the van, or inside one of the cupboards in the rear. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Ah mines a oem second battery so there's no fuse box there. Wired it to the main one for now while I sort it out

So rather than wiring in the dash cam to the second battery which is now solar charged too I figured once I get the conversion done it will just take some of the power away so invested in one of these

Seems really good spec wise!
