Hi all going to look a a T6 180 4motion next week . this is my first transporter since a 2005 176 driveshaft eater that I had from new.

The media system does not have nav it has everything else but has a mute button instead of nav. Does anyone know if this is upgradeable without replacing the entire unit

Many thanks

I could be wrong but this it is a change of unit and done by VW as each unit is coded to each VIN.
others will know more on here regarding the OEM units

No you are not wrong mate..

If you purchase that vehicle then a aftermarket would be best, be up better quality sound, and loads more features...

Thanks for your replies
Bought the van , and absolutely love it. Drove home from Scotland to Norfolk using Google maps on my phone and hated it. Its never heading the right way up
Any advice on after market units ? We fitted a kenwood to my wife's at3 and I find that really clunky.

What Kenwood model did you install in the Wife’s car?

Older ones are sluggish, but the last 2 years of Kenwoods makes all other manufactures look slow and quite dated, they get fantastic reviews from our customers

They have Garmin, Waze, google maps and Apple maps if you use iPhone

Hi there it was fitted last year it has full Garmin maps built in , tilting screen etc. Coat about £1k fitted . I find it very difficult to navigate the settings maybe it's just me but I have Tom Tom built into Renault work van and it's so straight forward .
Where abouts are you based ?

I will get the model number of it .

Also struggling to find tyres for the 4motion its on 18 I ch sportline wheels but the only tyres that fit are Bridgestone weather control with anything other than standard road tread.

Might have to change your 17 inch alloys

Any ideas anyone please
