Gloss black swb roof rails/bars

finally picked up my t6 and realised that the dealer had removed the rails but left holes

Does anyone recommend any gloss black rails more for aesthetics than anything else (when searching the forum I did notice the m6 thread and will look to do that too)

Hi James. Welcome to ‘T’ ownership. I have the VW accessory roof rails and cross bars. They are more of a satin finish. Have a look at Leighton Vans. (lvparts, I think) I’m sure they do a gloss black roof rail. More importantly, however, you need to make sure you get the blanking bolts in the roof channels. If it rains, that’s water in the van. You should have 8, but 6 removed for roof rails.

Thanks Mark I dropped the dealer a note off the back of your response to see if they could send me the blanking bolts - failing that I will order some unless anyone one here wants to sell them

So are you saying that you saw the van advertised and it had roof rails on and when you picked it up they were gone? If that were the case I would be asking the dealer to put them back on.

Hi - I went to see it and it didn’t have any rails - all good picked it up - travelled down to see another forum member to collect some bits same day I bought it up.

looked out the window when I woke up the next morning and noticed that there were holes where rails must have been fitted before

Iwill see what they say tomorrow
