General T6 wiring questions/tips

Afternoon,

Just want to clear a few things up before I wire the rear of my van this weekend. Nothing extraordinary or complex is going in there.

1) I need to run cables to the rear quarter panel on the drivers side where the kitchen sockets will be, what is the best way. Seams you can go from the drivers seat, up the piller, across the roof then down the middle pillar to the small ply panel. I don't want any cables on show, so drill a hole through to the rear quarter panel and then out of the ply where the sockets are?

2) Same with the fridge and pump cable that is just behind the drivers seat. How do I get into the panel under the window? Few options here but want it as tidy as possible and not to be able to see any cable outside the cuboards and as little as possible inside them. My OCD will send me to an early grave.

3) The van has 3 light circuits, all LED downlights. A 6, 4 and 2 light circuit. The switches are all quite close. Can I just daisy chain the live supply from switch to switch? It's 16.5amp cable so that should not be an issue. It is to mimimise the amount of cable going to fuse box to keep it tidy. I was going to just crimp both cables into a insulated terminal that has adhesive and heat shrink, so will be very solid.

Any other general wiring tips or anything you wish you have thought of? Do plan to leave some spare runs of this 16.5amp cable and a Mains cable just in case I decide to swap/add/change something in future. There will be no going back after next week as they van is getting lined and the roof put in.

Cheers,
Si

Well I've found the answer to one of my questions. Yes you can wire the lights in series but it's less than ideal if the fuse blows or you develop another fault as you lose all the lights which could be a bit of a problem in the dark.
