Getting my Multivan sound system upgraded and sound deadening done in a week’s time by an audio place.
I want to install a leisure battery, so while they are mucking around with the speakers and installing a subwoofer under the passenger seat, I’m also getting them to run cabling from the main battery through to the driver seat to install a leisure battery (Renology Core Mini Lithium 100Ah) and the DC-DC charger. They’ve also offered to run any extension cables through to the rear of the van while they have the door and roof panels off. Then it’s over to me to do with it what I want - I will need to rig up the accessories and any protection needed.
I’m not exactly sure where they are planning to run these, but they said they would ‘run any extension cables I wanted to the rear of the van’.
I have very little experience doing these things - just relying on this forum, YouTube and an obliging dad.
I’m looking to have a fridge in the back (occasionally) and run some basic LED lights inside and externally when camping. I want to have a control panel/box of some sort outside the driver seat to turn accessories on/off. I haven’t fully decided on the full set up but want some flexibility.
Question is - what do I ask them to run to the back of the van while they have all the panelling off? A cable for the existing Anderson plug at the back so I can plug the fridge in (if that is accessible to them)? Other cables just in case I want to install something later? Or a cable for another control box so I have more options for later? If so, where does that control box go?
