Gearbox selector mechanism alignment

Hi….

Had to call AA out today as I was suddenly unable to select any gears in my 2.0 / 6spd T6

Identified a loose gear selector mechanism where it attaches to the gear box. Tightened up and back in the game.

But now I can’t get 1st 3rd or 5th. So I think the mechanism needs some fine adjustment.

Is there are correct procedure for setting neutral position and allowing me to select all the gears??

I found a video from youtube about T5.1 gear selector adjustment. Both T5 and T6 should have 0A5 6-speed transmission family, so the video should be close enough to make the adjustment.

Seems there is only one way the linkage fits due to a key on the splined shaft… so no real adjustment at that end??

Maybe I need to adjust at the gear stick end?? Behind the central dash panels??
