Hi All
I have a T6 camper with vented gas locker, where the 3.9kg propane cylinder connects with a screw regulator to supply the dual hob. It has an inline shutoff under the sink, and is the rigid pipe apart from the flexible part to the gas tank. The gas is always off at the tank unless in use.
I also have a cadac which we use to cook on, and use the same gas cylinder. Currently I unscrew the regulator and screw in a different one with a 5mtr pipe to the cadac. I usually do this without taking the tank out (it's a pain in the ass) and just leave the tail gate open.
If I wanted a splitter with isolator, would this be possible? I can then leave this coiled up and just uncoil it when I want to use the cadac. I could then also use the hob in the van at the same time as the cadac. I'm guessing this is not allowed, as the tail gate must be open to use (which is fine for me) but introduces more leaks.
Would the proper way to do this is to install a manifold somehow, does the quick release tap then go under at the back of the camper? I'm just trying to get my head around what I need and the correct way to do this.
An alternate would be to take a second gas canister (which I already have), but then it won't travel in a gas locker (which I deem unsafe).
