Gas drop out hole

I’m thinking about the gas drop out vent hole
I’ve a swb 6.1 the gas bottle 907, is about middle of van, I wasn’t planning on having a gas locker but , also I was hoping to also run the sink waste pipe out though same hole, so we have option of toggling between an interior and exterior waste water container.
Also to add to the head scratching, our van is being built to go on overlanding trips and will involve some river crossings, at the moment I’m thinking a rubber bung in the hole for peace of mind on any ‘interesting’ crossing's
What diameter is the usual drop vent hole?

If you had a Diesel Hob/heater would not need a vent. Expensive yes but no gas worries about fire, explosion, CO poisoning, exchanging or purchase of canisters ect can be fuelled from its own can or plumbed into vehicle supply. Added bonus direct heating with some versions.
