My clutch is at the floor, looks like a leak says the AA man, took to garage and they are telling me they need to clutch out to find and fit it and while they are there, they should sort the clutch kit flywheel and master cylinder as it will need done at some point. It's a 2016 van that’s done 120,000 so I feel like this is probably right but the quote of £2.5K. I wanted to check if this is fair or am I being done. Any help appreciated.

Is that a VW dealer quote? A mate of mine took his to a local transmission specialist garage. I can’t recall the exact cost but def less than a £1000. Best to shop around.

At those miles I’d get the lot done, unless they’ve been replaced recently that you know of. Any history?
Price seems crazy to a tight Yorkshireman like me. I’d be hoping to halve that.

Thanks for the feedback. Want to keep the van and expected to get quoted for this work but seems high. Will shop around a bit I think. However I did look at the price of the items they need to roder and its not far off. £400 for gearbox oil felt like a piss take.
