are they any good or just snake oil .
I ask because I have some left from when my old T5 developed carboned up turbo vanes going into limp mode so used this cleaner
Archoil AR6400-D MAX Professional Engine, Turbo, DPF & CAT Cleaner Concentrate For PD and CR Fuel systems
and it worked and the van ran well withing 200 miles.
I also followed up using this product in each tank of fuel
Archoil AR6900-D Max Advanced Diesel Fuel Synthesis - Fuel Treatment & Cleaners - Archoil - Shop by brand

now I have some left and wondered should I continue to use it in the new t6

any reason not to use it

I've used Archoil - very good product IMHO.
Not used any yet in the T6 but had good results (only a seat of pants opinion unfortunately) on other cars.

It's unlikely that the fuel treatment fixed your sticking VGT vanes as they are on the compressor side (air intake) so never see anything from the fuel system.
You still get people putting injector cleaner into common rail engines - if you think about it, if forcing diesel through the injectors at 1800bar doesn't keep the nozzles clean, nothing will.

Mooncat If you are correct then I was told wrong but it was my understanding that the variable vanes were on the exhaust side
like in this youtube video

View attachment 34106l was told by vw breakdown bloke to use this stuff
The VW specialist I have always used for my car has this stuff advertised in his office and they also have a machine for it , because my car is petrol I never really asked about it but can remember seeing the machine connected up to a car before and just looked like an aircon Machine lol . A will definitely be asking questions when am in with van for first time

Not sure what I was thinking of yesterday but you're right, they are still on the turbine. Sorry about the confusion.....it comes with age!
