My new T6 has been sat in Grimsby docks since the 27th August with no date for collection yet.

It sure is a painful wait, I feel for you.

Ordered July 2. Got build date a couple of weeks after. If you have your order number, go on the VW vans website live chat and ask them for an update.

Thanks, I’m probably there or there about anyway. Order was placed with Swiss Vans on 17th August so just over 2 weeks.

Contact them. They'll give you a provisional build date. I used them instead of the dealer for my info.

I’ve been waiting since May 3rd so into my 18th week for mine so know exactly how your feeling. I know it’s built but have not looked where it is but knowing that it’s so close is driving me mad.

I’ve ordered a edition with comfort dash, heated seats and twin sliding doors. The edition had most things as standard so didn’t need to add much. It was built week starting 13th aug just not sure where it is currently. I’ll have to try the vw chat tomorrow

I ordered an Edition. Only options were electric twin sliders and 2/1 bench. Mine was also built 13 aug. They’re probably sat side by side in Grimsby!

We had to wait 7months from order.

It went into production in Germany or Poland somwhere.

Then got sent over on a boat to Southampton.

Then got sent to the UK firm that does the sportline kit fitting.

Then got sent to the dealer for the final bits and ply lining.

So know your pain.... but when there built to order you have to wait.

It's tough, but will be worth it when it arrives.

I spoke to my dealer today and he said it was loaded onto the boat yesterday and is on it’s way to the uk. Didn’t give any timescale tho so I contacted vw uk via the online chat and asked what time frames do they aim to achieve and the reply was 2 weeks build then a further 4/6 weeks delivery to the dealer. Does this timescale seem correct?

I wonder if your extra wait is because of the summer shut down they do that I’ve seen mentioned in a few other similar threads?

By the sound of it you’re only 2 or 3 weeks away from the big day!!!!
