That'll be most of them then.
Although if they're behind you, you won't be able to see their indicators anyway (cos they'll be that far up your chuff)

I very curious why? Is it because you can?
1. because I can, its my toy so why not..... 2. All the new cars etc have it as standard.
I was unaware that all new cars have that function. Are we assuming that their must be some benefit in this because living in deepest darkest Wales I can say that have all the light one can muster when turning into the dark recesses on our wet and sodden roads.
Same here, one of the first things I did when I got VCDS, I also have the tail lights on with the ignition. IIRC I got some snarky comments at the time. It was back in 2017 when LEDs were still a bit of a novelty (how fast things progress) and I noticed that the front DRLs "Masked" the indicators, to the point where the DRL was brighter than the indicator. I looked through the VCDS settings to see if it was possible to dim/switch off the DRL when the relevant indicator was on & voila there it was. It makes the indicator much more obvious. Clearly, this wouldn't apply to BMW or Audis as they don't come with indicators as standard.
It does NOT turn off your lights ONLY the DTR lights (that blind some folk and dis-track them from seeing your turn signal light. The roads are darker here in Spain at night........ but not as wet..............I was unaware that all new cars have that function. I have never noticed daylight running lights masking indicators mind I believe in the modern day with such poor driving I am very suspicious of indicators in any case most people indicate incorrectly then pass a turning others indicate and do something entirely different some do not cancel them perhaps the steering is still pulled over or miss aligned in some way, some indicate only just as they are performing the act. I do see them but make my own mind up by watching their poor positional sense then can often work out what they might think they might want to do. 
oh I dunno, it was pretty moist in Cuenca a couple of months ago, biblical!!........ but not as wet..............
Most important selection is having a working horn without the key switch activated.
There’s a high percentage of geriatrics where I live (I might live to join them), it’s not uncommon to have to hit the horn as somebody rolls backwards or reverses without looking in the local car parks!
National Trust car park near me is a bit of a magnet for them.

Roads here in this part of Wales are generally unlit at night unless it is a larger conurbation. Occasionally some farms have lights that illuminate their yard but can also be uncomfortable when one is any where near them or new people who move into the area seem to be afraid of the dark and the first thing they do when the move into a property is install bright outside lights so it kills the dark sky I generally presume they where former city dwellers.It does NOT turn off your lights ONLY the DTR lights (that blind some folk and dis-track them from seeing your turn signal light. We avoid the NT like the plague, they are worse than the rich landowners who handed over their property to avoid inheritance tax. Proper little grey haired curtain twitchers

Thanks for the explanation. I wish that I could drive with out any lights at all like vehicles of the past. I do not intend driving on the road like that but I do not like announcing to the world when I am entering or leaving our property preferring to illuminate only when I am actual on the road or to use very dim lights. I am approximately a mile from the road and , I live off road and my vehicle lights even only the day running lamps light up the sky and their are quite few poachers badger baiters and so on around I like to leave without them knowing and arrive also without anyone knowing.
I do not like the national Trust either. I like the safe guarding the countryside but they just want to exploit is by flooding them with visitors which seem to me to defeat the object. They have to farm to avoid inheritance tax and now the richer ones will be paying some of it now. do not really understand the inheritance thing for framers they tend to be better off than most on the communities even here, they now how to do OK. I do not understand whey any of them should be exempt. The wealth though have infinite ways to avoid taxation loophole are often deliberately built into tax rules to negate paying its the ordinary people on PAYE who have little or no way out.
