Hi, im sure this has been done before any advise/part no. Etc would be great.
So i have a t6.1 startline with standard black bumper. I want to put the highline bumper on. The highline bumper does not have any brackets attached. Will it go straight on? Or will i need the highline bumper brackets? I dont want fogs either.
Any advise please would be great, thanks.

I'm in the same situation, want to get rid of the abs grey bumpers. My understanding is that you need both the grill and the lower part of the highline bumper as the Startline bumper and grill are attached.

For the fog light situation, perhaps blanking plates? You'll need blanks for the sensors too I believe but I'm not sure. Travelin-lite do a package but appears to be sold out just now and it's primed so if you get this you'll need to factor in getting it painted.

2 years ago, I bought a highline bumper from a campervan dealership near Coventry and a beautifully painted gloss black grill through a beloved members forum sale.
I had them both fitted including 'Travelin Lite' fogs (and coded) by the guys at Professional Retrofits near Nuneaton. I managed to sell my existing Startline one piece bumper to a nice Eastern European gentleman via ebay.
End result, most Highliney!
Edit! No extra bits required, everything is there under the Startline grill to attach the Highline one.

Thats looking fantastic, do you recall how much it cost? Also, what did you do for the rear bumper?

The bumper I found in the right colour (a choice from 3 actually) for £250. (Premium Wave Automotive- a guy called Seb who has a unit behind the showroom selling the various swap out bits from their conversions). The beautifully painted grill was 3rd hand from the forum for £90.
I paid £700 for fitting and coding (including a £250 new refurb steering wheel) from Professional Retrofits. Foglamps from ebay £90, travelin lite bulbs, £45. Wifey did go halves on the steering wheel though! Oh, and gloss black 'dog bones' from LV £150 ish, including sensor blanking plugs.
Rear bumper had been swapped out for a painted one before I bought the van, no need to mess with that.

I’ve just done mine, easy job to swap over. My painted bumper came with the lower brackets but they are transferable from your Startline bumper if not.
I put black mesh over the fog light holes. Looks ok but from the side you can see straight through so might not be everyone’s cuppa. My van also doesn’t have front parking sensors, but those I just left as being gloss black you can’t really see them. I got the gloss black upper and lower grills off eBay, which were “Hawk” parts I think. Not the best fit to be honest so I’d probably go with someone more reputable like THQ.

That's reassuring, where did you get the painted bumper from? Also have you sourced a rear bumper?

I got my bumper from eBay. Bit ropey if I’m being brutally honest, although once it’s on the van you don’t notice the marks as much (they were all highlighted on the ad). But I’m planning on wrapping the van so wasn’t that bothered. Was sent an offer of £287, countered £275 and they accepted…

Cheers Josh, I've been having a look at their stuff already. I'll send an offer over for one and see what happens.

What's the plans with the wrap? It's my plan too, although not till around April/May time.

Hi, yes i have already got the grills and bumper. Was more about the bumper brackets underneath it all. Basically whether the highline attaches straight onto the startline brackets. Looked at the Travelin light web site already and its still a bit unclear as to what is also needed if im not have fogs.
My body shop now have all the bits i have so fingers crossed.
Cheers,S.
