Front Bench Seat Won't click in now, broken plastic parts

First one of the clips has broken, they seem really fragile and always coming off. Can see the part number of that one, so should be easy to find. However the plastic parts are also broken and I've lost them, that sit in the hole shown, so now the bench won't clip in anymore, does anyone know the part for this please? Cheers.

Just had a look at mine , metal springs held in by plastic plates that sit in a recess both sides of the hole, difficult to see any part numbers

Does anyone know how to fit this, got the parts it appears to slide in fit from the underside, but can’t see how this fits without brute force

I replaced those parts a few weeks ago. You need to prise the metal fittings (underside of the seat base cross member) apart slightly which then allows the plastic/spring assembly to click into place but i admit it's a real pain in the aris to do. On the plus side, the two little bits of grey plastic just might be the cheapest things in the entire VW spares catalogue.

thanks for that . i tried forcing it in but to no avail. i did buy two , just in case , as they are very fragile

Top Tip - Make sure that you get the assembly the right way around first time (ie. casing and spring according to the parts drawing) as you really don't want to be having to take out and then putting it back again - I suspect it fits either way but will only work in one of them.

Hi I have a similar issue... the bench won't click shut... it looks like I have all the parts looking at other pictures on here.... also I can't see anything jamming it... please help it's driving me mad..... is there something else missing...?
