Front Assist/ESP Switch/button

Hi people

Does anyone know if your dashboard esp switch was missing it would stop your front assist from working?

An aftermarket heater and air con was fitted when I bought the van that I have now removed. After I have removed it the controller for the air con seems to be where the esp switch would be. Could they have taken the esp switch off to use power for the air con switch. As now I have loose wires that look like they would fit a genuine oem switch.

If ESP is deactivated via switch, Front Assist becomes NOT AVAILABLE. I will try to test disconnecting the switch later on.

Unplugged ESP switch has no effect on FRONT ASSIST.

This would be really helpful. Would you be able to disconnect the plug from the switch and take a picture of the end of the wire to see if the wire I have available is the fitment for a esp switch

Thanks

Just thinking what if they turned it off before removing switch it would stay off which would make the front assist unavailable. 🧐🧐

ESP will re enable on every ignition cycle.
