Just signed up this second ..... Hello to all :)

Wanted to take this opportunity to thank all involved with and contributing to the Forum. It has been a really useful source of info and ideas for me entering the Transporter world for the first time. Everything from floor mats to seat covers to spare wheel security .... it's been great whilst researching the hell out of this decision.

She's now built and awaiting registration and collection

Cheers guys !

Looking around more, it appears I should have said exactly what it is : Kombi T32 LWB 4Motion 204ps DSG

Right. I know how to spell, including Shortfall.

I'd like to bring to your attention that quite often when typing on the mobile site, that letters vanish or just don't get included in a post. I've seen it with quite a few different words, and not just my posts.

It's an issue.

‘S’ for SWB lol

LoL .... yeah I did notice that most dealers stock is nearly all SWB, which made me nervous about LWB residuals, but for me, I had to order LWB .... it's the Mountain Biking gig

I know others have a different opinion but I don't understand why people get a van for Biking, then install a rack to hold the bikes (by the forks) after you've had to take the front wheel off in order to be able to fit it in the Kombi load space !?! For me, the whole point of having a van is that the bikes are inside the van and not exposed to all the back draft s**t off the road when travelling (bike rack) and that you can just very quickly pop the bike in the back without taking it apart...otherwise you might as well get an estate car, Ford Galaxy etc

Only ever considered a SWB when buying and now realise how much difference that extra bit makes when loading the bikes up

Yeah ... I saw exactly that whilst deciding

Took a bike down to the dealer during the process and tried it in the back of both S and LWB demonstrators. Even in the LWB, I still had to turn the front wheel to about 35degs (against the back seats) to get the whole thing in straight and clear of the tailgate. I usually ride Med 650b frames as well. So friends riding Large or long geometry bikes will still be a bit tighter yet, even in a LWB.

Having a had a LWB Vito Sport Panel (no rear seats) I am used to having acres of lovely space for loads of bikes and all the associated kit. However, one of the reasons for buying this was the ever increasing need for more seats .... enter the Kombi LWB and a smaller than I'm used to load space
