Sold FOCAL SUB 10 DUAL (10" sub) with under seat enclosure - only a couple of hours use

Focal SUB 10 DUAL - 10" Sub mounted in a custom-made under seat enclosure (bought from Absolut5). Comes fitted with 2.3m of good quality speaker cable. Sub fitted in to enclose on a EPDM gasket (no adhesive) so it is sealed. Comes with all manuals.

Perfect, as new condition. I bought this just a few weeks ago, fitted it and tried it for a few hours of driving, then came to the conclusion it was too much bass for our day to day use.

Cost me £280 all together (£169 for the enclosure and around £110 for the sub and cabling).

Excuse my ignorance but things have moved on a tad since I last messed about with ICE - is this an active or passive sub? If passive, which amplifier did you have powering it and does the standard media player in a T6.1 have a line out?

Hi Wellcharged. This is a passive sub. I bought this sub and enclosure along with the Focal IS VW 165 door speaker and tweeter upgrade, along with the Phoenix Gold ZXM600.3 3 channel amp. I also did a lot of sound deadening and isolation to the front doors. For my musical tastes (and my wifes....), it turned out I didn't need to sub.

I bought it all from Absolut5 here on the forums, who supplied a custom wiring harness that gets introduced between the stock head unit and quadlock plug. From the new harness, there's a couple of connectors that went to the amp. I was a little apprehensive, but it really was plug and play.
