Started the van and let it warm up this morning and the glow plug warning light was flashing. Took it for a drive down the road and it didn't stop, also it would appear that one or both of the turbos weren't kicking in,(limp mode?)
I know he marine diesels have the flashing glow plug light for a number of reasons. One being turbo problems. Vw assistance on their way.....

I had the exact same thing with our Audi just before Chrisrmas and it was the Turbo that had blown although we had a strong smell of oil to go with it but I would be very surprised if it was that. The other issue that can cause the same is the vacuum pump.

Yes, I had this issue once, on my old T4. It was the brake light switch that was faulty. The new switch was under a couple of quid, and it took about 30 seconds to fit.

There was a fuel pump fault which seems to be suspected as it was cold and the fuel was thick?
Not totally convinced but fault cleared and running fine now.
Only the 2nd t6 euro 6 the vw tech had ever been out to so I guess that says something?!
