Fixing Solar Panel To Van Roof

I had a solar panel on my van roof until half way back from North Wales today, when it ripped off on the motorway. Can anyone tell me what particular variant of Sikaflex the van conversion company should have used? The glue they did use clearly couldn't cope with the 29 degree heat today, but luckily no-one was hurt. I do though have to pay for the damage to the car behind me. :(

Jeez, that’s awful, could have caused a right ole fender bender. Take what’s left of the panel, the van, the insurance details and hand them all over to the converter. If that was PU’d on properly it would not have come off. That’s the stuff that windscreens are held in with at the end of the day.
Make them pay for everything, or take them to small claims court if they refuse. They are liable.

That is awful and could have been soo much worse. Thank god nobody was hurt.
I agree with DaveyB 100%. Your conversion company is liable for all costs including the damaged vehicle behind you.
