How easy is it to fit these?

does stuff need cutting or are they a bolt on?

I have VW Sportline sidebars but want to replace with steps.

Those steps have an extra bracket attachment just back from the middle, so there will be some trimming of the under trays.

It’s not particularly complicated, as long as the old bars come off easily enough. Getting the old ones off complete with the fasteners is sometimes the hardest part! It all depends on how long they’ve been on and how corroded the fasteners on the supporting brackets are.
