Fitting A Skybatt Low Battery Detection Unit

I've got this unit: https://www.mi-witness.co.uk/Help_Guides/Smart_Power_User_install.pdf with my Blackvue dashcam. With the idea of having the unit fitted, so it will never drain the battery.

For my T6 T30 Kombi 2016, just wondering if anyone has any tips for getting the unit installed? From the instructions, it clearly states to avoid can-bus circuits.
