Fitting a oak veneer ceiling

As per the website use sikaflex or tiger seal and roof/panel props. Do a dry fit first though to ensure you know exactly where it’s going beforehand otherwise trying to move it around with the adhesive in place is a pain in the proverbial, I made that mistake

Hi I have fitted a couple of these, i needed mine to be removable for various reasons so permanently sikaflex in place wouldn't work for me. I fitted rivnuts in the original holes where the plastic roof fixings in the roof cross members go, then screw up into them using countersunk m6 stainless bolts. Getting the holes in the right place in the new roof is a big challenge but using old roof as a template you can mark them accurately enough to find the rivnuts. One of those plasterers extendable support poles is invaluable to support roof in place while screwing in the fixings ! Or make props as suggested above !

Good luck I managed to do it on my own... if I managed it i'm sure you can !!

I'm in the same situation of thinking how to attach. I want it removable but with no fittings showing. My current plan is to get some thin ply put hidden fittings in like you get for ply sides when you carpet that line up with existing ceiling fitting holes. Then use silka to fix the ceiling to the ply panels. I'm hoping it will be strong enough to hold all in place.

I'm not expecting it to be that easy to remove but hopefully less likely to do any damage if I do need to in future.

I like the plasterers extending poles as an idea to help hold in place I hadn't thought of that
