Fiamma 45S & Roof Rails/Bars

Evening all

Just taken delivery of a T6.1 Caravelle with a few choice aftermarket additions.

One if which is the Fiamma 45s wind out awning. We regularly put a SUP on top of the Van so would be looking to add roof bars/rails.

Attached are pics of the awning fitting. Am I right in thinking we can’t fit the cars due to the existing awning using fixing points.

True..But I’m sure there is a bracket which fixes to the roof rail …. Some googling may help

Thanks. Went down a bit of a rabbit hole with it last night. Ended up on the thread about using roofing washers and threaded bar. I’ll leave it for this weekend and might end up MacGyvering a fitting.

I have an F43 fitted to my van, initially I was told I had to lose the roof bars if i wanted a wind out canopy, but eventually found a convertor who fitted one retaing the roof bars, I'm assuming the same is possible with the F45.

You could just use Thule fix point fixings in the centre two positions as the awning looks to be using the two at either end. Couple of Thule pro bars are you would be sorted.

@SAJO & @scottlef Hi both, Exploring this same set up but want to retain the roof bars for future mounting of Solar Panel, could I trouble you for some details if you managed to sort the mounting of the F43 whilst retaining the roof bars.
