Update from Brittany Ferries ...

On January 1 2025, Caen and Le Havre implemented low emission zones, making the ‘Crit'Air’ sticker mandatory for all vehicles transiting the cities. Make sure your vehicle is equipped with the Crit'Air sticker before your next trip.

Never bothered before as we deliberately avoid the zones but might just get one now as they introduce more and more .

They are so inexpensive that you might as well get one just for peace of mind or in case you need to change your plans.

They take a while to come through the post - think mine was about 6 weeks, but you get and email confirmation quicker so probably covered.

You get an email confirmation straight away so before I got my sticker I printed off the email just in case I got stopped.

Some built up areas require a Crit Air sticker all the time. Others apparently bring in the requirement periodically, if air quality deteriorates.
