I tried to transplant a vr6 lump into a mk4 polo but give up in the end has anyone else tried to do anything like this
Also did a rs1600i escort with 330bhp red what a bugger to do many hours spent with angle grinder and welder .

I think the T5 had a very limited run with the R32 engine.

Dad's mate, a well known tuner, stuck a 911 turbo engine in a Splittie: total ground up rebuild but a nifty little thing.

Dad's Ford P100 Cortina pickup had a near 400bhp V8 stuffed under the bonnet. That was fast but only in a straight line!

Love sleepers and Qcars. Hate ones that are the other way round; all show, no go.

In those days you tuned cars properly and upgraded everything to match...

I'm liking the sound of your dad @Polzeylad my kind of person that could spend hours and hours talking about old school fords and mods tuning
I use to take the Tek to Collins's performance and castle performance years ago oh I miss them days.

My mate (c1981) had a stripped out anglebox with a 1500GT lump with twin carbs gas flowed big valves tuftrided crank straight though exhaust that used to shift a bit, no weight to it!

My T5 had was a 174bhp to start with; a hybrid turbo-dynamics turbo, big Forge intercooler, PP 2.75" stainless through pipe with cat delete; Allard EGR bypass; performance air cleaner; (pre DPF); Pendal rolling road dynamic tune. Very very fast for a diesel, a bit laggy at low revs; and a big bloom of smoke when booted. Great fun, but a bit anti social. As a fast as that Tranny????????? Probably not;)

Yes, just up the road (well 40 miles) from us. 3 of them flat out making SS exhausts, and nearly all for transporters of different ages.
I only changed exhausts because Pendal commented the tune would be better with faster away gases. It sounded a bit loud for me, so tuck it back and they fitted a bit more lagging in the box.
When I was there, there was also a couple who had brought a T25 over from Holland, just for an Exhaust!!!!!
I certainly would not do it again; even with the extra sound proofing, the noise wasn't really to my liking. I think a really good sounding exhaust has a lot more R&D than we might realise. ;)

It's a van at the end of the day no need for loud exhaust, Martin from Pendle does know his stuff very tempted to get my kombi booked in as he has a 4wd dyne now at his hq try to liven up these 180 horses and the dsg

Yes I think his 180 map is very well sorted.

Big BNP? Didn't know they were even around anymore!!!!;)
On a more serious note, where is he based? Have had a number of cars remapped, and will no doubt go down that line in the van.

We're the bloody hell did BNP come from lmfao:rofl:
Pendle have agents all around the country Martin is based up Lancashire approx 2hrs from me

And at the moment he has a April promotion on to celebrate the 4wd rolling road setup £100 off for any 4x4 remap in April £345 + vat so £414 sameprice as the 2wd remap

If you look up Pendle performance you can put in your post code to find nearest Pendle agent
Excellent will try that. Last remap I had done was Superchips in Buckingham, had to take it back as they had turned the wick up so far the fuel gauge seemed to be inversely linked to the speedo! They turned it back, but it never felt right, in the end had it removed altogether. Other ones I've had have been bang on.

Superchips wernt up to much , I use to use Collins performance chips then get it live mapped by a local guy who knew his stuff or amhed bayjoo

I have heard that name before but can't for the life of me think what it was in relation to. Did they do stuff for Cosworths?
