Fan blower is blowing, but minimal air coming from vents...

Hello

Hoping someone here has some experience with this, as I've exhausted Google!

So when I start my journey, all is fine. But after approx 20 minutes, the sound of the blower changes to one that is similar to when the recirculation button is pressed. The blower still sounds like it's blowing with the same amount of power, only now the airflow from the vents is minimal. Even on full blast, the airflow from the vents is barely noticeable.

Hot, cold, AC, no AC, full power or low power... None of these things make a difference.

When this happens, I turn the blower off completely for 10 minutes or so. Then when I turn it back on, it works normally again... For another 5-10 minutes before it fails again.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks!!

What's spec van what year?

Post a couple of pictures of your fan controls if you can?

Have you got climate control or manual?

T 6.1 head issues with the blower flap doors blend doors control arm breaking

Ah yes, it would help if I give model details... It's a 2017 T6. Manual controls rather than climate control.

Yes, I've read about the control arms breaking, but none of the symptoms seem to match what I'm experiencing.

The fan blower resistor file in his accommodation but that stops blower space one two and three working four will still normally work.

It's possible the actual fan blower motor itself could have an issue, after running for 10 minutes maybe it's getting hot?

You'll be able to see more by taking out the glove box and lower foot panel you can get to the internal cabin filter out there.

And also see the fan blower motor connections.

You can also see the fan blower motor fresh air inlet behind the scuttle panel behind the battery..

When you put the van in reverse it normally closes the fresh air vent and turns on recirculation mode so that as you're driving back you don't suck in stinky diesel fumes .
