Ex fleet panel van battery help please

Hi,
I've got a ex coca cola maintenance panel van which I'm converting into a camper. I was told it had an inverter when I bought it. I've had a look today at the battery and found a Sterling unit connected (doesn't mean anything to me).
As part of my build I've got a Rayne automotive kit to be installed in the coming weeks.
I was thinking I should remove the Stirling unit and trace any wiring from it to remove prior to my install and start back to square one. Does this sound about right?
I'm a novice so any advice here would be great.

That rogue cable connected to the battery negative needs to go
Nothing should be connected directly to the battery neg as this bypasses the shunt that monitors current flow in and out of the battery

If the rayne kit you have is doing all the functions you require then the old kit serves no purpose so may as well remove unless it will be useful/beneficial to you ?

Great thank you. There's no other battery just cabling running through the ceiling. All looked normal until I saw the kit attached to the battery.
The Rayne automotive kit definitely covers what I need

that RED Stirling Is basically a VSR/Relay.

so should be swapped out for a DC-DC chRGER.
