Have just had an Espar combi diesel hob/heater fitted in our campervan but has already been back to the van converters. 5 minutes into heating up the hob, the unit starts making a very scary whistling noise and (even more scary) orange flames can be seen under the glass on the hot side of the hob. If turned down, this usually clears and then be turned up again without the problem returning. It does this at any temperature setting, even at lowest temp setting. The guys who fitted it don't seem to know why it's doing this and can't seem to fix it. Would appreciate any ideas as to cause before I go to Espar themselves as obviously this shouldn't be happening. Thanks very much.
