Engine warning light and warm start issue.

Hi all, hope anyone can help. Got a new battery fitted just before 11 night camper trip as it was struggling to start after a day or two of not using. Noticed soon after that engine having trouble starting when warm (fires then cuts immediately first 2 or 3 tries the starts).
After about 5 days and 700ish miles amber engine symbol light came on. Starting fine from cold and driving OK, not juddering and is doing usual mpg, maybe not quite a zippy as normal.

Anyone had similar or may be able to shed light on issue? Thanks.

You really need to get the error codes read, which should explain why the engine warning light is coming on.

Plenty of info on here on tools that do this - Carista is the cheapest - or take it to your local garage.

Hi Pete,

Thanks, plugged in Carista and it showed a fault regarding glow plug with open circuit which it let me clear and the warning light has gone out for now. There were a lot of other faults so need to sub to find out the codes but they included an engine fault and battery regulator amongst other. Will post the codes when I've done a 1 month sub and checked the codes later on.
