Just wondering if anyone has replaced the CFCA 180 hp with a CAUU 240 hp from a passsat.

It seems its a more durable (and more powerfull) engine and its also reasonably affordable...... i am interested if anyone has done it.

I've just carried out a search (top right of the screen) of "CAUU" and the one result I got was your post, so I'd suggest that if anybody did it they haven't used that engine code on the forum.
Let us know if you do it!

Saw you’re in the Netherlands, don’t you have really strict regulations on vehicle modifications there?

When the displacement and cylinders are the same its not really a big deal, we only need to go the dutch RDW with paperwork (invoices) that states where the engine is coming from and have it adjusted in the papers of the car.

Anything else we need to get a custom inspection which will be hard to pass.

A good friend of mine built a 4 wd RS3 engined Scirocco using only original VAG parts, he got the approval.... but they are meticulous with that.
