Engine Cover

Hi all, Im looking at getting an engine top cover to lower the engine sound. I hate the sound on acceleration, sounds like chuffing/ Old school manifold loose. In my experience an engine cover makes a massive difference to the sound..has anyone fitted one of these?

The VW one wont do much as its quite small compared to the size of the engine bay and theres no damping/deadening on it
Havent seen any aftermarket ones yet although travelinlite were talking about remaking the T5 style ones as VW discontinued them a while back

I used one of those lead lined (I think) engine blankets and bonnet insulation kits on my T5 which did quieten it down a bit, not pretty though. Haven't bothered with the T6 as it's so much quieter.

have a look at the lower cover too, very effective.
