Hi chaps. I've got a 69 plate ,150, T6 with everything completely standard with 45k and runs like a dream.
The engine management light came on a couple of weeks ago and showed the above fault. Simple enough and will be getting repaired in due course.
As mentioned it's started coming on with the onset of cooler nights. Up until it gets repaired in a couple of weeks time all I've been doing is clearing the fault. It's triggered three times so far ,which I've read with an OBD11 and then subsequently cleared the fault and the EML goes off. I've been using the van ( not for short journeys) and all is well. Most times when starting in the morning there's no EML light , since the issue began.
My questions to the forum gurus is; There's an obvious occasional issue with a glow plug but if I simply delete it, there's no EML illuminated. As there's no EML illuminated will my van continue to regen properly OR as there's an underlying fault that's been cleared will the ECU recognise this and prevent a regen.
I don't want to bung everything up and cause more damage.
cheers
