Had a lovely drive from Wiltshire to Ashford (3.5hrs or so) for an overnight stay yesterday. All hunky dory, filled up with fuel last night, driving along the M’wat this morning and the yellow EML light came on, and it seemed to be constantly trying to regen until we parked up at Le Shuttle terminal, but mostly driving fine. Left the van for 30 mins or so, got back in and EML light was still on but had no real option (I don’t have a code reader (going on the list of things to buy when I get back!) but to get on the train and see what happened. Stuck 1/2 bottle of redex in it though not sure it makes much difference. Have driven all the way to Efteling in the Netherlands, van driving fine but light still on so I’m just unplugging the battery now to see if I can reset it. I’m hoping it’s just a temporary thing that occurred because of a long drive yesterday, and fingers crossed it’s nothing more suspicious. Coolant and oil levels are still perfect so assuming the DPF was getting clogged up?
