Electric to driveway awning when using leisure battery

We are hoping to convert our kombi to more of a day van arrangement with electrics.

We principally stay on sites with EHU, and in this scenario we will be able to use a splitter so the van and awning have their own supply.

However, with the addition of electrics we may opt for sites without EHU. What do people do to extend the electrics into the awning from the van? without creating a trip hazard with trailing leads. I'm thinking of a socket near the passenger seat so an extension lead can run through the passenger window (we have wind deflectors so can leave slightly open).

Any ideas gratefully received.

There is a grommet to run 12v to the under lighting on side bars you could run a cable through that and then terminate in a waterproof socket

Depends how much you want tp spend. I picked up a Jackery 1000w for £500. It’s been a game changer for me this year. I haven’t needed an EHU all year and it peers the van via EHU and the awning from an extension lead.

I have something similar to this mounted under the van in one of the underbody protection trays. Just by the corner of the side door. I use it to power the beer fridge when we’re on tour.
