T5.1 2.0 TDI EGR blanking location

Hi all I'm new to the forum so hello.
I've had the EGR mapped out and I seem to have boost lag, when applying revs after gearing up or down it's either all or nothing as far as power is concerned.

The remap guy has told me to blank off the EGR. Does anyone have any details on where I should put the blanking plates? A diagram/pic would be great.

Do I need to blank it off in more than one location?

Thanks in advance

I'd assume you have to blank off the front and rear EGR exhaust pipe connectors.

For off road use obviously, as disabelng part of the emission control system is illegal on UK roads. The egr is part of the NoX reduction system.

What was the issue? Why has it been mapped?. Blocked egr? Didn't you just replace the EGR?

Hi yes EGR was blocked and it was going into limp mode, i had several quotes from garages and a couple wouldn't do it and one said easiest way is to drop the engine etc and I simply can't afford the bill right now, I had a go myself as I've got experience of working in a garage but there was just one T30 bolt I couldn't get undone and it started to round off, this said bolt isn't visible so made it even harder to do anything with.

Hence EGR mapped out. Yes obviously for off-road use.

Most blanks are just metal shim plates that sit in the middle is the join,

Either manifold to egr pipe. Or

Egr pipe to cooler connection.
