EGR light coming on .. and we are on a 2 week trip in France

Engine management light came on literally 20 minutes into France. I reset it via carrista to see if it would come on again and it did later on that day but then hasn't come on for the next two days travelling, we are now in the middle of France and it's come on again. It seems to happen with a 5 00 mile Gap. Does anyone have any advice on what will happen if I don't do anything about it until I get back to the UK next week? 1000051269.webp1000051268.webp

I had a management light come on, the main dealer said "insufficient flow." we need to change a lot of things. To cut a very long story short, turns out it was a faulty sensor.

Does a regen unclog it ? Or do I need to give it higher revs down the peage?
No, that’s the DPF. It is clogged it will need replacement to be UK legal, you’ve done pretty well to get 76K miles out of it.
Driving manner only affects the rate that it clogs, once the carbon is deposited the damage is done, it’s normal, the EGR should be regarded as a consumable like brakes, clutch etc.
Carry on and don’t let it spoil your holiday.

It will need flushing.....

If it doesn't clean out well enough (too clogged)

It will need replacing.

A common job an a T6.

EGR need replacing every 30-90k on average, depending on driving style.

Ok , so it would appear that my driving style is quite good and I'm fairly light on the EGR. However, I definitely need to get this sorted. Can anyone confirm as one guy already has that? I'm cool just to keep driving around France for the week and get it sorted when I get back. FYI. My MOT is November and I'm guessing that's when the problem would be with my emissions... Any help would be amazing. While I'm currently sat in a campsite in France pissed on rosé

Don't stress about it, mine was coming on intermittently over 2 years and it's got to a point now when it's coming on regular so it's going in next week to be changed. Won't be an issue at MOT time as long as the light is not on.
