So could the latest version be fitted to a 17 plate? I'm assuming it's an improved design similar to what's happened with the rear egr pipe. Or would it be better to order the earlier version for a 17 plate van?

My 2018 plate Van had the original Front EGR tube fitted.
Original tube has two small holes in the end which become blocked and throw up the low Flow fault.
Whilst on Holiday, the fault came up , AA via VW assist fitted a redesigned front pipe, the new design has a slot in the end (where the two holes used to be in the original) there is also an a shroud on the new pipe !

here is a photo of old vs New, I suspect the later part is the one with the slot, but I do not have the part number.

Should be fine, the part numbers I showed were against my late 2016 VIN
