Hi Folks

Just want a little bit of confirmation if I can

My T6 2019 van which is the 2000cc diesel 102bhp

This is the van battery and not the leisure battery

It is fitted with a standard battery which is a EFB battery. So although stop and start it’s not AMG

The CTEK charger I have MSX 5.00 has a normal setting and AMG setting.

I presume that although startstop on van as the van does not have a AMG battery I just charge on the standard setting.

Sorry but I have only had vehicles with standard or AMG batteries and never a EFB before.

As I say sorry if silly question but just wanted the confirmation

Thank You in advance

2019 102ps

EFB starter, Ctek Mxs 5.0, charges on standard setting quite happily.

EFB is a cheaper alternative to AGM.....

Either setting will work OK. (Both are SLA chemistry)

The AGM setting may have a slightly higher charge voltage in the bulk, absorb phase.

Last time I charged my EFB spare battery it was with a NOCO on an AGM profile... it charged OK.
