Eberspacher heater

I am wanting to use this heater for first time. Not programming it, just turning it on prior to sleeping (about 30 mins) Do I just longpress the button so it comes on with outer ring showing red and adjust time to 30 mins? Do I switch lessors battery on rather than the van battery? How long is it safe to leave on if sleeping in van and will 110a battery cope?

Show a picture of the controller ..there are different types .. but on mine just press the wiggly element button and wait .. it takes about 3+ mins to spark into life .. same button for OFF and again delayed action before it winds down .. 5 mins or so …
