Dumping A Vivaro

well my 2016 vivaro lwb crew I’ve owned from new has had a rebuilt gearbox, replacement radiator, replacement engine and now another 4kmiles on - it’s in for another new engine. Currently sat on 44k Miles.

So - I’m finally utterly fed up with it. What to do next.

Well - I’m looking at a t6 swb highline panel 150 dsg in deep black pearl..... unless the new-car-discount web page price is massively wrong and I’ll find that out tomorrow - I’m gonna take the plunge.

Will I regret it?.

Sorry to hear about your Vivaro.
I've got a 2015 Vivaro which has been faultless since new.

My 2017 T6 150 DSG is a nicer van all round, but was twice the price of the Vivaro and does nearly 10mpg less.

I had a 2015 Vivaro (one of the first of the new shapes) from new with dozens of pathetic faults. Mine had done 100k before I finally gave up and moved to VW.
My Vauxhall dealer was great, but often their hands were tied by the daft hoops warranty made them jump through to get things fixed.
After clutch issues, suspension issues, a new sub frame after mine cracked, the stop start jamming the starter motor on, door handles falling off, and loads of other daft issues, my final straw was pulling up to a customer, opening my sliding door, for it to come off its rails and fall on the floor!
Ok, you can buy 2 Vivaros for what I spent on my T6, but the move was certainly worth it. The money I lost in downtime alone was worth the extra cost.

I have just sold my 2008 Vivaro sport, had it from new, done 118000, the only major issue was the maaf sensor

So here it is today - engine f***ed - 10thou across the head - block f***ed pistons bolloxed.
All to be replaced on warranty - which expires shortly.
Sod this for a game of soldiers. Lots of looking at transporters and I can’t get the spec I want new now - and used is simply impossible.
So I’ve got a 68 reg dec 18 150 dsg panel highline with folding mirrors, nav upgrade and app link thingy in indium grey. Collect it next week

Good for you. I sold my 2012 Renault Trafic LWB sport 6-seater crew. 50000 faultless miles. Previously had a Vivaro SWB from new, 80000 faultless miles. Bought my T6 DSG 150 Highline LWB. It's now a 4-seater window van. It's a different world sat behind the wheel of the T6, however, one does pay thro' the nose for that privilege. Trust you'll love your new van.

Can’t wait for the goodies to arrive now and bitch her up a bit.
Got the NS sortimo fitted in out my old van this evening - that took some extensive anglegrinder action.
Looking forward to running some miles on it in the coming days. Tomorrow I shall clean and ceramic coat her up
