So treat me like I'm 5, complete newbie to all this DSP malarkey.

Just stuck the Vibe 65.4 DSP amp in my van, Composition Colour, Quadlock Y cable, all that, previously had the non-DSP version which will be for sale soon ...

Anyway, it's an 8 channel amp/DSP, does that mean it can control 8 separate speakers if necessary? I'm not trying to do that, Gladens in the front with tweeters, Hertz 6x9s in the back.

Obviously there are absolutely LOADS of different settings, trying to keep it fairly simple for now.

It’s a 4 channel amp but can control 8 channels by running another 4 channel amp via the low outputs mark 5-8 in the picture

I guess the DSP also lets you assign which speaker goes to which low output.

Yes I think you can, not sure, not messing with that.

What is nice is that you can mute channels while setting up so you can hear what the rear speakers are doing (for example).
