DSG problem

T6 madness

Hey there I have a 2016 T6 it’s done 172,000 Ks the problem I have is sometimes when you start the van and put it into drive or reverse and go to pull away it just revs up and doesn’t go then jolts into gear if you know it’s not going to move I put it in park turn it off and retry and it’s fine I have taken it to VW but it hasn’t done the fault and they say nothing they can do any ideas cheers Simon

Has it been serviced at required intervals?

I would start with DSG service.

Turn on the ignition but don’t crank it.
hold the accelerator to the floor (right to the floor) for 30seconds
release the accelerator
turn off ignition
turn on ignition and start it.

see if this makes any difference.

What does this do?

Clears the "learnt" gearbox behaviour.
And resets the clutch bite point, you may / should feel a click through the accelerator pedal when the gearbox / clutch resets then release the accelerator pedal as Loz suggests
