Dsg issues in cold weather - 2019 transporter T28 6.1 140k miles.

Dsg issue
Currently it is very cold and in the mornings after hard frost the van will not engage reverse.
It sometimes will not engage forward in normal D mode
It seems more likely to engage S mode

If it warms up - by letting it run idle - the issue goes away

Is this a common issue - what ls the solution?

It's due every 40k

agree, more likely the fact it hasn't been serviced. When was it last done?

Vehicles going way over the 40k interval will notice a significant difference in behaviour when serviced. its vital this gets done regularly when due to avoid these issues and future costly repairs.
